Our Coffee

Orinoco Logo

We discovered local roaster Orinoco Coffee and Tea while researching the best local coffee beans to offer in our new cafe. This family-owned small business comes from a long tradition of coffee, starting in 1909 with their great grandfather in Venezuela until today, and includes four generations of growers, exporters, importers, and roasters.

We are proud to partner with them, not only are their roasts smooth and delicious, they are also committed to best practices in their sourcing and production, as shown in their certifications and memberships, which you can learn more about below. And they are locally based in Howard County, which means less environmental impact from roast to cup!

Our organic coffees are USDA certified through the Maryland Department of Agriculture, while the Swiss Water Process guarantees our customers can enjoy chemical-free decaffeinated roasts.

All decaffeination processes are not created equal. The Swiss Water® Process is certified organic and uses only water, temperature, and time to gently remove caffeine, while preserving all the coffee’s original characteristics.
